Circumcision is not the
same as Bris Milah.
The creation of the world rests on the Bris.
For many families, the Bris is something to get through. Isaac sees something else in it: a moment of giving. Parents bring their son into a covenant far older and larger than any one of us and become partners with God.
When he explains this at the ceremony, the room changes. Grandparents who have been to dozens of Brisim hear it for the first time. Families who came for a procedure leave having celebrated something.
A life’s work.
Trained by Surgeons, Urologists and Rabbis in the field of infant and adult circumcision, Isaac has focused his energy, on helping parents celebrate the beauty of Religious Circumcision or Bris.
Isaac grew up in a Colombian Jewish family that built community for a living. His father led the Jewish community, his father and uncle built its cemetery, and his grandfather helped found its school.
He trained for years with senior mohalim in Israel before his first Bris: his own son’s. Since then he has been the mohel for thousands of families.
His work brings together the three things he loves most: medicine, faith and people.

Five questions to ask yourself
about your mohel.
- Do you feel calm when you talk to your mohel?
- Is your mohel explaining what’s happening, and why?
- Will your mohel see your son before the Bris, and after it?
- Can you reach your mohel at 2 AM?
- How long did your mohel train, and with whom?
“There is a reason everyone uses him!”
It’s normal to be nervous.
Even the fourth time.
“This was my fourth child, and surprisingly I was an emotional mess leading up to it.”

Sori Ptalis

What families are saying.

Tamar Ruben Berkowitz
“On the day of the brit he performed an amazing spiritual ceremony and explained the religious significance of the brit to everyone. Immediately after the brit he reassured us how well it went, and guided us with the proper after care. Every day after the brit he called to check in…”
Ben Levy
“Rabbi Gorin was exceptional throughout the entire process with our premature twin boys. He explained every aspect of the late brit with clarity and patience, ensuring that my wife and I felt informed and at ease.”
Andres Leiva
“I was so so nervous before the Brit Milah - it was my first and i had no idea what a Brit was truly about. He answered all my questions medically, spiritually and emotionally…”

Josh Korik
“He even takes the time to explain and help other family members so that no one feels left out or uncomfortable. He really cares. BOTH times each of my boy's pediatricians commented on how well the circumcision was done and how fantastic the healing was.”

“He helps to make the ceremony personal, meaningful and memorable… More than that, he’s an incredibly special human being that we trust and feel blessed to know. It’s clear it is a calling for him.”
Jennifer Glantz
“My son Eli was born a week before Pesach. Pesach Bris. Isaac walked all the way from Miami Beach to Surfside to do the bris. It was really special.”
Uri Cohen
“He was kind and patient the whole time from our initial communication, and answered all my questions. The ceremony was beautiful too (Spanish speaking was a plus!).”
Daniela Titiun
“Isaac was a great source of reassurance, experience and confidence that we needed during the sensitive time of a Brit milah. He took the time to answer all my questions, reassured me and validated me when I just needed to be heard…”
Ari and Ester Fischman
“He shows great care and empathy for mom and baby. With our last son, we only had a few hours notice and he was there for us and even helped prepare the festive meal.”
Allison Rudd
“Isaac Gorin was the mohel for three of my grandsons and I can say without a doubt he was highly skilled, very professional and extremely compassionate. What I found very unique was that all of the above was combined with a spirituality which I found very moving and so appropriate for this occasion.”
Miriam Ptalis
Trusted by doctors, surgeons and Rabbis.
“We were looking for somebody who was both high in a spiritual level and elevated on a physical level in terms of competency in performing the milah. … Rabbi Gorin was one who was capable of coming into the room and immediately lowering that anxiety. His bedside manner and approach to the parents and baby was one in which many physicians could learn from. … It is without hesitation that I recommend and refer Rabbi Isaac Gorin as a mohel.”
A home visit, before
Isaac comes by a few days before to check that your son is ready, walks you through the day, and sends a list of everything you’ll need.
The Bris
Isaac adapts the ceremony to your family’s traditions and explains each step to your guests as it happens, along with the honors you can give the people you love.
A home visit, after
Isaac provides clear, safe aftercare and visits to see how your son is healing. You can send him a photo anytime.
What families ask.
When does the Bris happen?
Traditionally on the eighth day, during daylight. If your son isn’t ready, for example because of jaundice, the Bris waits until he is. Isaac checks him beforehand and decides together with you.
Where does it take place?
Wherever you choose: your home, your synagogue or an event space. Isaac comes to you.
What do we need to prepare?
Very little on your own. Isaac sends a list of everything to buy and have ready, and goes over the honors for family and friends with you beforehand.
Will he explain the ceremony to our guests?
Yes. Isaac explains each step and its meaning as it happens, so everyone in the room understands what they’re part of.
How do we care for our son afterwards?
You’ll get clear aftercare instructions, a check-in every day and a home visit a few days later. Call or send a photo whenever you’re unsure.
Do you speak Spanish or Hebrew?
Yes. Isaac is fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew, and families can speak with him in whichever feels like home.
Which areas do you cover?
Isaac lives in Miami and covers all of it, so he can be there fast. He also travels anywhere a family wants him, by plane if needed.
How much does it cost?
Some people are very transactional about this. But I am not transactional about this. In reality, I see this as a life’s mission, a life’s work, my ability to serve a community. … I want to have the opportunity to be able to show the value of this mitzvah by not transactionalizing it and by not putting a dollar figure to it. Because after 120 years, I don’t want to come up to heaven and learn that the value of this devotion and this dedication and this mitzvah that I’ve dedicated myself to is nothing more than the sum of a bunch of invoices.
